An update from Dennis Peters and his family. We thank him for sharing this with usl.
Mike is home and doing very well.  The radiation and chemo shrunk the tumor over 50%, well above anyone’s expectation.  He is off all treatment until after the 1st of the year, when they will look and see what the tumor looks like then.  As always, he is in great spirits and glad not being sick all the time from the treatments.  Continue to keep him in your prayers.

Bob is doing well and still is at the High Rise in Great Bend.   He has had a knee problem, but it appears to be getting better.

Two of Russell’s girls, Christina and Shawna, and their families will be in Plano for Thanksgiving, YEAH!!!!  Christina is a teacher in Mulvane and lives in Douglas.  Shawna is a junior at Kansas State and doing very well.  She heads the “International Service Group” at KSU.  Unfortunately, Nicole and her family cannot make it, which would have been wonderful.

Dennis says he is doing very well and business has been very good this year.  He will be traveling to Italy to be with his daughter, Sherrina, husband, Mario, and boys Lorenzo and Christian, and her family for Christmas.  In the 12 years she has lived there, he has spent 9 Christmas’ in Italy.  It’s a tough job, but someone as to do it.

I was told Monday morning that I forgot to say anything in the paper about Bill and Barbara Baus moving to McCracken. I apologize.  I also forgot to go to the Legion hamburger, fries and chili supper Saturday evening. If you wish an article to be in the paper, please call or email either Carolyn or I. Thanks, Shirley

We had our first snow last Wednesday.   It was raining early on, then the big soft flakes of snow began to fall.  It was all over too soon and nothing stuck because the ground was still warm.

Dream met in Hays on Friday at the home of Carol Heiman.  Her lovely home was decorated for the Fall.
Kathleen Kuchar gave each member a notebook and showed pictures of her and her 98 years old mother, Lenora Kuchar, of Meadow Grove, Nebraska, on their recent trip.   Others attending were Christine Wagner, Shirley Higgins and Carolyn Thompson.  The rest of the afternoon was spent on dreams and refreshments.
The four weeks of Advent begin next Sunday.  It is a time to prepare for the coming of the Christ Child.  Please do that while you are preparing for the holiday celebrations.  Enjoy and reflect.

We hope that all the hunters enjoyed their stay in McCracken and the area.
