On Saturday afternoon Linda & Keith Stokes from Lenexa, Ks. were in McCracken sightseeing and they happened to stop by and visit St. Mary" Church. Mr. Stokes took a lot of pictures of the inside of the church. They were amazed at the beautiful church windows. Linda said their church windows were edged the same way. Roy proceeded to ask them if they knew where their windows were made or where they came from and they didn't remember and we forgot to ask them what church this was. After visiting the church for around a half hour, Keith went outside and took more pictures. He said he and his wife had visited a lot of old churches in the area and we named a few and they had been their already. They also visited the McCracken Jail/Museum. Keith said that he has created a web-site called www kansas @ travel. org. He said that down the road he would put St Mary's on the web-site.
Thanks to Carol and Callie Weber and their decorating ideas, they made the bathrooms in the Community Building look really spiffy. Very nice.
