When talking to my brother David, he told us that they were in San Diego on the 4th of July when the fireworks all blew up at once.  There were two barges set up with fireworks.  They were listening to the radio and for twenty minutes they said the fireworks would start in 20 minutes not realizing that the fireworks had already blown up.  He was there for a Corvette convention and they had a bus load at the display - it cost $120 for the opportunity to see the display.  Pretty expensive for 15 seconds.
