Susan Larsen writes, “I am hoping you have information about Bruce Robbins from Rush County.  I am looking for the name of Bruce's grandfather and was wondering if you have any family stories and pictures of Bruce and his wife Alice.  I have a small book of pictures (from 1908) of homesteads from Rush County, if you
interested - I will send you the names and you can tell me if you would like
a scan of the pictures.  Bruce was married to Alice Hyde Robbins.   The pictures I have are of the homes of Reuben R. Ream and his children -
Alpheus Ursinus Ream
Newton Valeiqho Ream
Anna Mosella (Ream) Pharris Sage (Ira C Sage)
Sarah Salome (Ream) Crotinger
Effie Lillian (Ream) Bender, John Jacob”
If you have information about the above Ream or Robbins family, please let Carolyn know so I can pass the information along to Susan.

D. B. and Alice Schwartzkopf, S. Hutchinson, were here on Friday to visit the Jail/Museum. He will be attending his 70th anniversary class reunion at Ransom on Saturday.  His family settled in a sod house south of McCracken on the Alexander road which is shown in the Rush County History Book.  They told me about when his grandmother was making bread one day and a bullsnake fell into the bread bowl!  That was when the old sod roof was torn off and replaced with a frame one!  Francis and Julia Zeller were passing by the Jail/Museum when Mr. Schwartzkopf was leaving.  Francis too is invited to Ransom on Saturday as his Brownell class was also 1940.

My grandmother, Tracy Klusener Dennis, told me that when she would stay with her grandmother, Engel Klusener, in a soddy in Russell county, they could watch the snakes go in and out in the ceiling while they were in bed.
