Don’t for get the dinners at the Community Building or Boondock’s for Memorial Day. They will begin after the services at the McCracken City Cemetery.
 
You will be able to buy raffle tickets for the rodeo quilt and/or an afghan made by Sally Irvin.  Both will be on display during the dinner at the Community Building over Memorial weekend.
 
Steven Brock, youngest son of Patty Klee Brock, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, was a last Saturday morning visitor of Addie Mills. He was on his way to Salina to visit his sisters and brothers and to attend the high school graduation of a nephew and the wedding of a niece.
 
Priscella Jacobs, Mitchell Jacobs, Terrie Lassiter, Chad Foust, Crystal Ryan, Anton and Kaden Foust, Sean Peters and Sandra Jacobs were guests of Neal and Amy Jacobs this past weekend. They all attended the graduation exercises for Tessa Jacobs Saturday afternoon from Goddard High School.
 
Evelyn Cosby and Addie Mills had supper at 4 Corners Café on Friday evening in honor of Evelyn’s birthday.
 
Tammy Irvin, Kyra and Cameron, Jerry Higgins, Chuck Higgins and Zach and Shirley Higgins attended graduation exercises in Norton Sunday afternoon for Lindsey Grace Tacha.

Patricia Reinhardt, Hoisington Middle School principal, nominated Tammy Irvin for ‘Kansas Teacher of the Year Award’. Tammy has taught a fifth grade classroom in Hoisington for ten years, moving from Oberlin in 1994. She taught math part time at the high school for several years, then took a full time position as fifth grade teacher in the fall of 2001. Tammy has taught more than 25 years in Kansas schools. She has two grown children, Cameron Horesky, 21, and Kyra Horesky Horesky 22.
