McCracken Men's Open Golf Tournament held Sunday with 75 entrants. Winners were Rich Fisher, 1st; Mark Schmidt 2nd; Kelly Walker 3rd, Warren Moore 4th.

Janet Conner and Kayla Higgins each received a scholarship to play volleyball at Dodge City Community College. The MHS volleyball team placed 2nd in the State in 1982.

Betty Casey resigned as cook at the McCracken schools

Harvey N. Brundage, 90, of Brownell, died May 23 at Ness City, Hospital.

Charles Edward Auston, 82, died May 29 at CKMC.
