Rosann and Louis Felder, Mike and Rita Felder, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Felder, Francis, Julia and John Zeller, Serena and Chris Barnard and son Aamian, Santa Marinella, Italy enjoyed Mothers Day dinner at Boondocks. Chris studied at the Angelicum University and Serena taught in the Irish School in Santa Marinella.
Leonard LeRoy Nienke, 83, died Mary 3 at the Good Samaritan Center, Hutchinson. He was the father of Randell (Tonya) Nienke, Brownell.

Mothers Day and the birthday of Gladys Hinman were celebrated with a dinner at Boondocks bar and grill on Sunday. Those present were Gladys and Wendell Hinman, Sheila and Greg Hinman, Jessica Jinman, Jeffrey Hinman, Laura and Ray Wierman and Jerod Wierman.
Tomi Rues and family were in Topeka Friday night visiting with friends. They especially went to see a new baby, Keagan Ann Kraus. She is three weeks old and a beautiful little girl.
Gary Barnes and Colleen Kerns attended the PBR at Wichita Saturday.
Tomi Rues took a short trip with her mom to Colorado last weekend. They stayed around the Boulder area. They enjoyed the beautiful weather, shopping, eating out, and just spending time together.

The Jail/Museum will honor military men and women during Rodeo/Alumni week. If you would like to be a part of this tribute, please let us know. We would like to display medals, pictures or memorabilia. We have a scrapbook that Mrs. Edith Chenoweth made of World War 11 military men and women that will be shown.
Sam and Dorothy Graham, Kingman, took Dorothys 95 year old aunt, Lucille Moore, Ness City to Boondocks on Saturday.
Our sympathy to the family of Gerald L. Gary Kraisinger, 68, who died May 1, 2010 at Salina. He is survived by three daughters, Celeste Davis, Arlington, Tenn.; Denise Fuller, Miltonvale; LeAnn Knight, Hutchinson; brother, Larry Kraisinger, McAllister, Okla.; ex-wife, Shirley Bundy and ex-mother-in-law, Lenora Stremel, Hutchinson and their families. A moving scripture rosary was held before the funeral mass at St. Marys Catholic Church, McCracken. It was led by Joanne Emerick and Janice Pfannenstiel. Father Rene Labrador celebrated the mass. Burial was in the McCracken City Cemetery beside his parents Harry and Mildred Kraisinger.
Ewald and Karin Silberhorn of Poing (a suburb of Munich) Germany arrived Friday to visit with his cousin and family, Francis and Julia Zeller. Ewalds grandfather and Francis mother were brother and sister. They visited Ft. Larned with Francis and Julia, John, Melanie, Bill Zeller and Mary Ann Higgins. They went to Sternberg in Hays with Bill, Cecelia, Mary Ann, John, Melanie and Mary Ann. Francis and Julia hosted them for meals at the Boondocks. They brought with them pictures of paintings done by Ewalds sister-in-law of Poing. Francis and Julia also received beautiful plates, one of Munich and one of Germany along with a Madonna and Child statue. They Silberhorns left on Monday.
Sgt. Ralph Mena, Jr. 27, who died of injuries in a non-combat related incident in Iraq, was the son of Ralph Mena, Sr. who was a city employee for the City of McCracken. His father died in 2002. They lived in Hutchinson.
Elgin Wahlborg, Arkansas City, is a candidate for Alternate National Executive Committeeman for the American Legion for 2010-2012. He is a 20 year member of Skelton-Beaty Post #18 in Arkansas City. He is a native of Trego County and the son of the late Alvin and Elsie Wahlborg. His wife is the former Margaret Hearting of Wakeeney. They have a son, daughter, grandson and granddaughter. He attended Fort Hays and started his own construction business in 1965 retiring in 2001. He served as his Post Commander and designed and built a new Post Home. He served in the U. S. Army and the Kansas National Guard.
Bill Zeller celebrated his big 64th at Boondocks with his family. Congrats.
Shannon Keith celebrated her 13th birthday at Thirstys in Hays on Sunday, May 9. She was joined by her parents, Mike and Susan Keith, Carolyn Thompson, Galen Allen, Al and Judy Hugh.

The play The Toastmaster given last Saturday evening by the high school students, was enjoyed by all present. Those participating were James Start, Mark Cutler, Len Lovitt, Harrison Grumbein, Lee Chaffee, Sadie Wilson, Onas Elmore, Lena Hastings and Lyle Farwell. The company is playing in Ransom tonight and Brownell tomorrow night.
C. P. Dutton sold five lots last week to Mrs. Tanck. She contemplates building a nice residence in town and coming here to make her home.

Max Washaliski is attending an automobile school in Kansas City.

The Girl Scout Patrol composed of Dorothy Elmore, Joann Juvenal, Phyllis Cheney, Dorothy Klug, Blanche Pratt and Pauline Walker cooked their supper on the creek Friday evening and played softball.
