One way you can honor the 150th anniversary of Kansas Statehood is to visit some of the historical places in Kansas. Lecompton should be on your list as our own Tim Rues is the curator there. If you haven't been to Old Fort Hays, please stop by and visit with Bob Wilhelm. He spoke when we had the Hampton event and just recently helped our museum. Have you been to Pawnee Rock? It was on the Santa Fe Trail. It is a state historic site and was an observation spot on the trail. There is a memorial plaque there in honor of William Becknell, 'father" of the Santa Fe Trail.
