The Bleeding Kansas Program continues with the fourth week. At Constitution Hall, in Lecompton at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, there will be a program on “Gettysburg, The Spark that Torched Lawrence” by Dr. Charles E. Heiler, retired colonel, historian and author.

Our sympathy to the family of Victor “Vic” Groff, 71, Hays, who died February 8, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Cheryl Davis. They had three children, Lisa Groff-Day, LaCrosse, Matt Groff and Kari Groff Basgall of Hays.

Halle Connelly of Ellsworth was at the “Ellen Show” on Friday. She was called on stage to participate in a “sing the lyrics” of current songs. She went home with tickets.

Breonna North, daughter of Travis and Ava North, was a Snowball candidate at Ellis High School on Saturday, February 11.

The spaghetti dinner and chocolate dessert extravaganza was a huge success on Saturday evening. All the food was great.
