Lorraine Ryan and Carolyn Thompson attended the Smoky Hill television buffet and video at Sternberg Museum on Tuesday night.  Honored guest was Dr. John Cody who spoke about his moth watercolors. 
 
Martin and Mary Ann Higgins spent a week in Nassau, the Bahamas.  Martin was attending the Varian International sales meetings.
 
Arlyn and Jan North hosted a pizza party to honor the birthdays of Eunice North and Paula North.  Joining them were Heath North and boys, Ted and Shawna North and Clay.
 
Bob Fear and his daughter Nicole, Burleson, TX were weekend guests of Dennis and Jeannie Elias.
 
Larry and Joyce Eisenhour, Frank and Elaine Littler, Dwight and Sherri Eisenhour and Arlyn and Jan North helped their mother, Icis Eisenhour celebrate her birthday on Sunday.  Her grandkids Heath, Paula and boys, Ted, Shawna and Clay stopped by in the afternoon.
 
The concession stand at the rodeo grounds is now gone thanks to volunteer workers.  A new stand will be built in its place.  The committee is putting in a lot of effort for this year’s 20th rodeo.  Please make plans to attend.

Army Specialist Third Class Charles L. Jacobs is participating in amphibious training with the 25th Infantry Division in Hawaii. 
 
February 1966
Homecoming will be held for the Mustangs when they meet the Bison Buffaloes on Friday.  Candidates for queen are Janice Halbleib, Linda Irvin, Karen Norlin, Madeline Rein and Dixie Walker. The candidates for king are Daryl North, Gene Petz, Terry Peters and Danny Petz.  (King chosen was Terry Peters  - -  Queen was Dixie Walker).
 
February 1976
Ray Wierman has been named to the President’s Honor Roll at the Kansas Technical Institute in Salina.
 
Chuck Higgins, Mark McCormick and Mike Conner all scored 20 points in their win over Eastern Heights.
 
February 1986
The McCracken Colts improved their record to 6-2 with a win over Healy.  Billy Harp, Bryan Bergquist and Heath North led the way for the 48-12 victory.
 
1996
Nicole Moran was part of the Fort Hays music department opera “Pirates of Penzance”.
